Dan > We made a 56" by 121" awning out of 1/2" emt conduit and a 9x10 tarp. I have hung it on my rack crossbars. I've stuck an extra piece of the conduit into a crossbar and have attached a strap to the awning front.
Dan > Lois is sliding conduit into the skirt sleeve.
Dan > The conduit starts near the front door and stops short before the rear wheelwell in order to clamp underneath.
Dan > The skirt is sleeved over this pipe to form a neat and tight seal to the van.
Dan > I'm clamping the conduit pipe to the sheet metal lip underneath.
Dan > Leading edge of pipe clamped.  The trailing edge is also clamped but hidden by the skirt.

Dan > Skirt is clamped to underside of van.  Wheelwell section needs to be sealed next.
Dan > Magnets hold the skirt over the wheelwell.
