Dan > Short loops clip the awning to the crossbars. First one here.
Dan > The awning is attached at three crossbars and hangs down.
Dan > The far edge of the awning has carabiners that allow the awning to pivot up. I'm using the center one with my helpful pipe davit.
Dan > Shortening the strap will pivot the awning into place.

Dan > Adjusting the height to allow the FirstUp to slip under the edge. If I had wanted a freestanding awning I could have added two more side straps going back to the roof rack. Not needed here as the awning will be well supported between the van and the FirstUp.
Dan > I'm attaching a little "slope adjuster" to the center of the roof to help it shed rain. Just a nicety.

Dan > The awning is up. I'm about to add the top to the FirstUp 10x10.
The awning is up. I'm about to add the top to the FirstUp 10x10.
