The ramp will flatten to the wall. The bench supports are independent of the wall hinges. This allows them to unbolt with a few wrench turns if the floor space is needed.

I considered making drop-in slots for the metal supports for really quick removal and installation. Or letting it pivot to the side on a hinge. But they're strong and quiet this way. Still ...

This is a typical day tripping arrangement if I want room for canoes and bikes inside the van. The boats can go onto the roof rack and the bikes on a hitch rack for a bigger expedition.
